About PeakPlayer

The poker craze was in full swing and the requirement was to build an application for people who play poker online.

The product "PeakPlayer" was not to be a gaming site, but rather a program to analyze a players games to allow for studying of habits (both their own and opponents) and all for the fixing of "leaks" in their play.

The application also needed to let people see live statistics while playing real-time.

Features

• An "Overlay" which can paint statistics directly on the game screen. This requires PeakPlayer to fully integrate with a number of different programs and to give the user a fully integrated feel.
• Reporting and dynamic statistics to analyze game play.
• Automatic unattended upgrades of the product.
• Automatic reporting of client errors with detail information to aid in problem solving.

Technologies

• Windows client developed using Borland Delphi 7
• Multi-threaded database access using Firebird 2.0
• PeakPlayer website and website services in .NET 2.0 using Microsoft SQL Server as the database
